The situation

What has happened

The Wattle Grove Seniors Club has invited the service back to run a stall at the Spring Market on 26 September after a well received scam awareness session earlier in the month. The Senior Sergeant, Community Engagement has asked you to plan the stall, prepare the key messages and materials, and book it in the register. The earlier session recorded three attendees who had recently been contacted by scammers and a request for more information about phone and online scams. The council has offered a marquee and a table. You will be working with a council community officer and one other member.

Your brief. Prepare an approved Community Engagement Activity Plan for the stall, book the activity in the Community Engagement Register, prepare plain language key messages for seniors about current scams, and after the event record attendance, issues raised and follow-ups.

What to look for

Evidence guide

Evidence should show the plan approved before the register booking, key messages written for the audience without jargon, risks that include privacy and consent for photographs, and a register record updated within two business days with follow-ups assigned to named members. Check that the student drew on the earlier evaluation rather than starting from scratch.

The student's evidence summary lists every record they created or changed in the systems named above, their notes and the tasks they ticked. Verify it against the deliverables and your own assessment tool.
